Hi All
Thanks for an interesting day last Friday.
It's great to learn innovative ways to teach our students in the classroom. I look forward to using roving brainstorming with my class.

Hi Guys,
Thank you for this. So It looks like this Friday will be structured as follows.
Sharyn/Diedre will be showing us their photolanguage and roving. Then we will be breaking up into our Action Learning Sets and I have some structured questions to discuss to get you going. then after morning tea Bob Thurlow will be showing up the new Sharepoint before we break for lunch.
Hope this sounds ok.

PS. Janine, I have copied and stolen your profile photo. You'll never know how much I love that man!

Hi Again All,
Janine has asked if you would like to hear a presentation from Bob Thurlow on Sharepoint during our next session on the 19th? I thought I would throw it back to you guys.
Also Sharyn was absent due to illness but would still be prepared to share Photo language and roving brainstorm that she had planned to present last time. Is this something you would like to know or are you more keen just to get into your groups? It's entirely up to all of you. I will go with the majority on these two issues.
Kind Regards
Diana

Dear bloggers,
I thought I would use the blog to get an idea of how you would like to structure your Action Learning sets next session and what you would like to cover. This way we can make the morning as productive as possible.
Any suggestions?

Hi everyone
I thoroughly enjoyed all of the presentations. Robyn Duignan's filing demonstration was very practical and hands on.
Blogging would be a great way for the students to correspond with each other and myself rather than having to email. They tend to swamp my inbox.

ADOBE CAPTIVATE
I'm blogging on too (is this the same as 'raving on'?) :)
Adobe Captivate and Wikis would be my preference for action learning sets. As a relative new-comer to Captivate, there is plenty for me to learn. I've never created a wiki and thought the demonstration was excellent. I can see some applications for students at OTEN.
About Word online forms - if anyone needs the example demonstrated at the last meeting, and instructions on how to do this in Word 2003 or Word 2007, please send me an email and I will be happy to provide.
TAFE email address is jennifer.garrett@tafensw.edu.au
Cheers

Hi bloggers
I too would like to concentrate on Adobe Captivate and use Wikkis and can see great potential for its use, particularly for gap training and for topics students usually have difficulty with.

Blogging on!
Here I am, blogging on for the first time.
I'm looking forward to trying to integrate Captivate projects (tool) into Wikis (delivery method), soit would seem that the Wiki Action Learning Set is probably the best one for me at this stage.
In reference to what Jennifer has said, I too think a Wiki page for each set would make sense.

Action Learning Set Preference
I would like to be part of the group working with Adobe Capitvate.
It just occurred to me that perhaps a wiki might be a better place to create the list of preferences (as in the camping list). If my limited understanding of wikis is correct we could then add a page for each learning set where they could assign their tasks, communicate, upload documents etc.

My first blog experience
Firstly I'd like to say thank you to everyone who made a presentation yesterday. It was great to see snippets of the various techniques.
I am pleased that we will also get the opportunity of using some of them. I am really looking forward to seeing how these techniques can be used in various teaching/learning situations and units.
Now to this blog experience. As you can see I made it in. I signed in as Gisela. I added myself as an author which sent an invitation to my email inbox. I opened the email, clicked on the link, completed the form to create a google account (using my TAFE email address), then signed in as a user. As Gisela said it was easy. Although, I had to type the post twice because I went back to another screen and lost my original post. I guess I should have saved it!
What I particularly liked in doing this was experiencing the process from both sides of the coin - as a teacher (when using Gisela's sign in) and as a student (when creating my account).
Thanks again Gisela.
